As a news reporter I didn’t find any challenges in
completing the Tallahassee Community College story assigned. The two locations
I intended to shoot at included the Tallahassee Star Metro CK Steele Plaza to
shoot b-roll and stand-up shots to include in my news package. I went to the
Tallahassee Star Metro CK Steele Plaza to shoot numerous b-rolls and stand up
clips. Despite it being a bit bright outside I shot what I intended to shoot at
this first location. I chose to shoot across the street from where there are
people waiting to catch the bus. This allowed me to not get face shots of
individuals and the angle I was shooting from was also clear and I was able to
catch b-roll of buses coming and leaving.
The second location, Tallahassee Community College provided
great footage. I shot stand-ups and b-roll of students walking to the Star
Metro buses. I was sure to not get any full faces of the students who were a
part of my b-roll. I asked numerous students if they were interested in
speaking about Star Metro fees starting on July 1. Two students participated in
the SOT’s which I included in my package. Both of these students spoke clearly
into the mic which was great so that I did not have to return to TCC to get
more SOT’s.
